Welcome!

Spring is almost here!  The weather can't seem to decide what it wants to do though.  It will be warm enough for a couple of days to go out without a jacket, then suddenly, it'll be so cold you need a heavy coat, scarf and gloves.  But the meteorological agency has made its annual predictions for the appearance of cherry blossoms across Japan, so it's safe to say warm weather is on its way!

As for me, things are going well.  I got a new job within the same company.  I'm no longer teaching but writing textbooks for use at our schools.  It's challenging work, but I like my coworkers and it's nice to flex the creative mental muscles again!  The book I'm working on should be finished in about a year, and then I'll send a couple copies around for people to check out.  I'm going to sneak an illustration of myself in somewhere!  See if you can spot it!

Japanese for `stupid foreigner.` Often used pejoratively, but also adopted by foreigners to laugh at their own cultural faux pas!
